Well I lie the VCTF cause of the people, and I'm use to the maps, i now alot of them (i don't like Sandstorm and Suspense is getting runned into the ground) I try the vechhiles, while i'm online, i rarely get into vehhicles, i let the people who are better deal with that cause they now what they are doing.  What ticks me off is when the other team will set there tank on top of the flag, i've seen that three times, i think it's chickensh*t.   Or when they get the raptor and go into the other base, shoot to kill, and hide and recharge there vehicle and do that the whole game.   I don't care about bieng at the top, I never have been unless i'm playing with bots, and capture th FLAG is about strategy, not seeing how many people you can kill.....thats my opinion.   people who snipe...it's ok to do one or two, but to sit in one place and snipe 6 or 7, your not playing for the game, your playing for the kill.  (that's what deathmatch and team deathmatch is for)

Yea we have some PuGs tonight . So idk . Were like bucked big time right now so i think anyone that were made would have to wait or something cause were bucked bad ..

Find some people you like playing with and a mode that you can really sink your teeth into. The rest will fall into place. The real issue is to not get burned out or turned off by the habits of certain people or aspects of the game. If you can just have fun while sucking, you will get better without even realizing it.

I started just like you. Hiding in different parts of the maps, taking it all in and sniping a few people while I was at it (vCTF). After a while I began getting more comfortable leaving my little corners, getting in closer confrontations with enemies. Then not to long after that my name was a the top of my teams points board after the game, a full 8 v 8. That doesn't mean I was effective or contributing to the capturing of flags but it meant I was making measurable progress with my mechanics, my aim, etc.

If you take a similar path you won't end up a top fragger, dueler or flag runner. If those are what your shooting for, don't follow my advice. If you aren't naturally awesome at video games but still want to play a valuable role, contributing and making an impact in the team side of UT3, that is how I did it.

Getting a feel for the aim and firing rate of the tank and dark walker while playing off line against bots is always smart. Same goes for flying the fury....much easier to get the mechanics down while off line. There is nothing funnier looking than somone trying to learn Fury 101 in a full match in Sandstorm. It ends fast and ugly.
