if you have the orb locked down on the prime(s)/center nodes, and have the tank node and the tank is up and alive, you will not spawn at the tank node. ive been playing this game just as long as anyone and played more warfare than anyone else i can think of here on the ps3(going by stats, they dont lie). i pretty much know my **** about all the techy stuff. and i do it all, orb, tank/heavy hitting, defend and attack. hell im even a taxi express, so ive seen and studied it all. lunchy, harmerty and lunar would sit there for hours figuring out everything.
 
Your point makes a lot of assumptions, such as holding nodes down. If you play against a team that knows what their doing, then holding down a node should not be part of the point. Whenever a node is being held down, everyone on your team responds there. The minute the node gets hit, your team will start spawning at tank node unless your command is set to something like orb runner or special ops. One scorpion and that whole point is out of the arguement.
 
Also, there is not a set play for playing warfare. You should know as good as any of us that the tank node provides less benefit to the team rather than getting it. **(there is a benefit if its used properly, and managed correctly. its just like anything else in life, it can pose some risk but can be used to gain or hold ground easier. just all depends on every thing going on. but in pubs they just arent used correctly and not everyone will know how to respond or counter when they spawn at the tank node. so here i agree, tank node in pubs arent "usually" tactical.)** If the node was so good, you'd run at it when the game starts. Getting tank node has to be strategic, usually when enemy prime is down or secured, or when your prime is down or secured by the other team. Besides that, I truly feel it's a total waste of time. Even if you get it when your team has secured enemy prime, it's a complete waste of time since you can knock out the core in a matter of 30 seconds if done semi-efficiently. Also, if the opposing team then goes to the tank node, by the time they take the node,  I already have secured their prime, with the orb in hand, in the turret, taking out the tank.
 
Lastly, you've played enough to know that the team that usually has tank node ends up losing the game, unless it's a bunch of vets on the other side. In a pub game, tank node is a deathwish.
**(at the end of the game, tank node is amazing?!?!? adds more vehicles to attack or hold down ground when there vehicle stock is just depleted down to their core spawners. who wouldnt want a tank holding down the e-prime, and protecting the node? how is that not a benefit? the tank can withstand a deemer blast if the node is hit, by around 80-95% of health left. even if the deemer explodes between the node and the camped tank, it will still have around 40-80%. the gunner denies them very easily or even hitting the node with a timed shell will deny it. even if the orb carrier or teammates are killed, this will allow your team to have an easier time rushing back to re-claim and hold as the tank can still hold ground. also the tank node can camp players at the redeemer and shape charger easier. adds to points of direction in which they can now gain those power ups more e and have an added two mantas to attack their cores or camped hell benders/paladins with? if used correctly i dont see any problem with the tank node being used in game play on downtown with a team that know their stuff.)**

haha, lunar, me, harmerty, and neo were on one night going through all the WF maps figuring out best routes and exploits. We literally put 10 hours into one evening.  I never got offline till 11am.

my friends called me "bRoKeN" from counter strike in the day. i was a very good player and was on one of the top 8 nats finalist team in their 50k tourney LAN in 99. we lost that match, but it was cool being called broken bc they said my skills were so damn broken, and it stuck...

and yes, ATX = Austin TX

tWc_Lunchy (aka by me as "The Lunch" Rofl)- Another WarFare "Rooted" player i share good laughs with this guy and when we're on teams it can get scary (not as scary as Mrgameover+LunchyEmbarrassment) lol anyway he's also a guy to pay a LOT of attention to when playing cause if he cant stop you from owning a match i dunno who can, awsome at turning tables on match when he jumps in and can easily dominate a match if he see's a window of opportunity. Constantly making me go "I'm about to capture they're node..****, never mind, lol damn Lunch" Uber respect and cool guy, friend indeed and hope it never changes.

187Blackcat aka Do_or_Die_420-VCTF ClanMate/One of my "Bros"- Though he recently joined us, i've played many matches with/against him, very good player and all around good. lol our last Clan match we both held down our side from invaders (which i try to make my own job) with excellent timed shots and protection for each other. He always stands out when we played against him, making important kills or at least making it farther than anyone with our F.L.A.G. (might have scored one but i cant remember). he's Uber cool and respect is high for him. We'll develop a great bond the more we now.

one thing guys/gurlz(kind of off topic), ive seen some ppl taking the orb to the enemy core when its vulnerable(seen it quite few times actually). if ur own core is vulnerable and sum1 is coming to the attack core while holding their orb, announcer says 'enemy orb carrier incoming' does it do any damage to the core? not really tried it juss in case its damn rite stupid and will make u look like an ass......... juss askin to clarify :-D
