i agree drok, the farther away you can have your systems from the floor and the tv is a big factor too. your tv is the biggest dust magnet and so the closer your system is to your tv the more they'll suck in. i haven't had as many problems with my ps3 as my 360 being dirty but it does seem like my ps3 doesn't freeze at all as long as its cleaned. both systems run more silent as well after i blow them out. |

lol i dont ever clean it out at all and never had a YLOD :D
i think it helps if you like, put it higher than the floor if that makes sense.. if it's on the floor it gathers dust more easily i think, and mine's on my desk. thats what someone told me, anyway |

360's are just glorified toster ovens anyway. What I do is hook up my little attachment from my vacuum cleaner, and hook it up to the hose, then tape off all but about 10% of the hole, then it turns into a ultra mega dust sucking masine! ;)

I seen the post about cooling fans and know a coulple people who have had there systems over heating on them and freezing up on them so i want to repost my suggestion to help with these problems. I take both my ps3 and 360 and blow them out once a month with a good air compressor. You would believe how much stuff they suck into them. If you dont have a compressor take it to a gamestop and they usually have one and will clean it out for you. My 360 use to over heat and i thought it was because i need a cooling fan for it, but it was just the amount of nasty **** in it. I found out that some fans void warranys if you have one but your systems will not need a fan if they are clean. Also for people with 360 i suggest taking the hard drive off opening the tray and take the face plate off before blowing it out, the power box also can cause over heating as well if it is not cleaned out (thats the surge protector that has the yellow light on it) Keep your system clean and they will run smoother and last a lot longer.
