I would hope GOW III would win game of the year, I think that game/franchise deserves it! Not only that but I see GOWIII taking a lot of these categories!
I was happy to see a lot of Red Dead Redemption and I'm hoping it wins the best graphics category. Best DLC, a tough match up IMO between Borderlands vs Red Dead but I see Borderlands getting this one Lastly, I voted for Bioshock:Infinite as the most anticipated game. Make sure you guys vote, I've been seeing a lot of people enter in Mortal Kombat. |

Cant believe heavy rain got a few mentions... i must be one of the few ppl that thought that game was just weird lol.
And FFXIII shoulda got mentioned for best graphics, game was amazing.

How BO got nomintated at all should be the question. I am so disappointed that $60 went into this garbage. For all the problems that MW2 has, MW2 is miles better than this cheap looking shooter. Servers suck, party system broken, connections are garbage, respawn system is broken, a huge spamfest, no skill needed to shoot, weapon options are lame, etc., etc., etc. BO is by far the most overhyped peice of crap this generation.

LOL nice Pin, yeah I don't understand how BO got so many nominations but I guess they are pretty specific on making sure they get all the games made before 12/31/2010. All of your lists suck by the way, no mentions of RDR.. that game needs to win some awards!
Why do you want Polyphony Digital (GT5) to win Studio of the year? The studio that kept moving back the game release how many times? |

I understand how BO and NFS got in there. They are the hottest games out there right now and SPIKE wants to attract the most viewers possible. It's just that there are probably other less publicized games that have been out for several months in 2010 that deserve attention. I say we all boycott this show. There are only 3 studios that are worth mentioning as being top studios:
1. Polyphony Digital - This is the only studio which has never cared about how much money is spent on a game. They alway put out the absolute best. They make one game and they make it better than anyone in the world. That is why they are the best studio. They care only about quality and the consumers.
2. Insomniac Games - By far the most advanced on the PS3. They were the first to uttilize the quality and power of the PS3. They pride themselves on cutting edge. The graphics of resistence and R&C are proof of their modus operandi. Not only do they put out quality, but they churn games out like they are on the Model T assembly line.
3. Sony Santa Monica - Need anyone say more. This is Sony's flagship studio. Three words - GOD OF WAR.
The next would be Jaffe's studio, Eat Sleep Play, which will join the list of top studios when he releases the new Twisted Metal. Tean Ninja is also on the brink of being considered one of the best (except they only make 1 game). Bungie have lost their funding source by leaving Microsft. All other studio are commercial garbage. .

Assassin's Creed will always get nominated the year it comes out, even if it's a day before the award ceremony. Jade Raymond, the producer, is the darling of the industry. And for good reason. Just look up her pic and you'll know what I mean.

Well they can't nominate it for next years because it will already be more than a year old, so where else can they put it?
I just can't see Polyphony getting that much credit, I know of two Gran Tourismo games, this years and I think it was number 4, on the PS2 that kept on getting delayed and delayed. I know most people probably don't care about games being delayed... but if the studio is so confident to post a launch date and then eventually end up delaying it 2 or 3 times kinda makes me think that they're not quite on the ball as they should be, to me that shows no responsibility. Most companies post a deadline, why do game studios get away from not meeting theirs, and the consumers are the ones getting crapped on. I'm probably in too deep on this one but I hear all my family and friends frustrations when they hear a favorite game is being delayed.. like Bain lol. |

GT4 was for PS2 and wasn't delayed by much. As for the delay of GT5, just look at the content to game has and then judge. This game is going to single handedly break every record known to mankind regarding video games. Graphics, check. Quantity, check. Quality, check. Content, check. Gameplay, as real as life. 1000 cars. Every known race track in the world. Racing, drifting, NASCAR racing, etc. This is the best thing you get to real life as possible. This game cost hundreds of millions to make and it's coming out in two days. The wait is worth the quality. I would rather have a perfect game that is delayed, than a half assed game like BO or Halo 3, that is rushed to the market and garbage. The thing about Polyphony is that they are perfectionists. That has been known since PSone.
And Bain knows the quality that is on the way. Me, Bain, Yangin and about 10 million gamers have been waiting for this game to come out. Wait until you see the impact this game is going to have on this generation of gaming. Not one other game will claim this title when this game drops.
And for the record, the only reason I bought a PS3 is for GT5. I enjoyed many of the games in between, but there will be no other game this generation that defines the generation like GT5 will. The best game series ever made is the GT, in my opinion.
And Penguin, true, Naughty Dog is definitely up there.

meh... mw2 is no where near as good lol.. ok u may think the graphics sucks... and yeah tings such as the party system is broken.. and the servers are terrible... and the spanwning can be terribl at times... but mw2 had those probems too, apart from the parties... and thse probs was nearly as bad back then anyway... and how does back ops require no skill to shooot? whats the difference in how u shoot from mw2 and in black ops?... people use more skill in this game than mw2 though... i remember seeing a vid of how esy it was to get tons of kills.. some guy just stayed in the same spot... at the top of the bigger building in scrapyard.. with a nnoobtube and 1man1army... justspamming nobtubes around the map.. again and again.. while planting alt of claymores too he ended up with 66-3.. and u say black ops requires no skill? lol.. black ops may have alot of problems with non gameplay related... only a few things are annoying about the gameplay such as the respawning and the servers.. howver apart from that treyarch has got rid of the frustrating things hat was in mw2........ blck ops > mw2 |

and i would tell u my opinions.. but i cant really have that uch of a say seeing as in nearly every catagory i have played about 1 or 2 games out of the 4.... so i cant really say.... and even though i do really like the GoW games.. ive recently got into assasins creed (playing the 2nd one now so i can finish the story so i can play 3 asap) and i reallly like it... i would like it to win the best action/adventure catagory but it has after al only ame out... so shouldnt be on the list anyway imo... so i guess that award also goesfor GoW lol

Game of the Year, Best PS3 Game, Best Original Score & Best Action Adventure Game goes to God of War 3.
Best Graphics goes to Gran Turismo 5. Im sorry, but I have not seen any other game who can compare to magnificent art, creation and graphics like this game! The only games that were somewhere close to, are Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3 & Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
Studio of the Year goes to Bioware. The way Bioware create there games are extraordinary! Great dialouge and great story plots. This game (Mass Effect 2) is like a movie!
Best Handheld Game goes to God of War: Ghost of Sparta. It is probably the only epic game on the list.
Best XBOX 360 Game goes to Mass Effect 2.
Best Anticipated Game: I'll go for Dead Space 2. Dead Space won best Action Adventure/ Survival horror game in 2008. In Dead Space 2, the developers really step there game up. New suits, new weapons, Multiplayer (like Uncharted), fully control in space qravity, real technician work in cut scenes, etc.
The only game that might surpass Dead Space 2, in my opinion, is Gears of War 3.
And for the rest, I don't care less.

My Impressions:
Waaahoo on RDR winning GOTY, extremely happy that the game won that awesome award, and the other awards too. GOW III winning best PS3 and Graphics, they deserved that. I was upset to read that Costume Qwest won best downloadable game, I tried the demo and couldn't stand it. Best DLC, RDR Undead Nightmare?.. Borderlands General Knoxx should of taken this one, hands down Most anticipated game, Portal 2? Really?? Not to sure about that one. |
