Anyone know how to get rid of input lag delay with a Sony Vizio TV?
There is an annoying 1 second delay from pushing something on the controller and actually performing it on the TV so its off. I tried everything still there. This only happens on big televisions for some reason.. |

its your resolution settings, my buddy has that tv and it has to do with the refresh rate. ive seen that happen first hand so i know what your talking about. you have to turn the video settings to game mode but then it turns the brightness down and damps the picture. i dont think there is any other thing you can do tho. graphics wont be too bad you just have to turn up the bright in game

I would much rather prefer an older tv than a new one for gaming, the new ones hard to handle once you had an old one

Could be anything bum.
I've had that before and it seemed to be a cable issue. Data transmission: I had to replace my entire cable set in order for the lag to disappear. My brother had a similar issue, but in his situation, the problem was that his cable was too long. It couldn't handle the response time needed from both sides. But it could be so many things. I should try a different cable or even "input" first. A more expensive cable from the same long length could improve input from both sides, because it sends data "faster" to interp from both sides then a more cheap and easy cable. Could help to kill your lag issue.

Oh, my brother also had a power issue.
He increase the voltage amount on his switch, because it seems most TV's run on some kind of "power save" mode that does not allow full power of the TV. Disabling that and increasing the amount of voltage on your power supply if you can could also help

Most big LCD/LED tvs do a lot of post processing to make the image look better. Sony and samsung are the worst when it comes to this. I doubt you can fix but I recommend checking out the avs forum, if there is a way to fix it they would know.

Get a HDMI cable, Turn on game or pc mode & disable any settings that have to do with 600hz refresh rate etc... ( Motion Flow, Film Mode)
You should notice a big difference with the response time :) |

Stay away from the cheaper ones..they are terrible and you will end up having to buy a better one anyway.
