i love this idea, considering my dollar amount would be  much less then it should be id be a steal :)

Rolltide makes a good example of someone that would be a mid-level CTF player, but low-level in other modes. (unless he's been out playing in vehicles behind my back)
 
What would his ranking be?

Prices ranges from $100 - $900. Team Captains would need to select their players from a list of Free Agents and must hold a draft for round picks.

If players have a problem with their values then they can just simply not play.

well id love to see something like this go down. but just like all good ideas, they are just simply good ideas and are hard to work out. but i do like the idea, would be cool to see it actually work. but maybe we can pick like 2 players from each mode that knows them inside and out and that could rank all the players in that mode in a rating system. then average them all out and then post the standings and ratings to then fill out a total ranking system for the players.

I honestly don't remember if there was a thread or not...I know we talked about in PM's but I'm not sure if there was a thread. 

If you guys want to press on and try to start putting rules and things together that would be cool...personally I don't want to start something new until this 1v1 thing is done though...I need to stay focused on that until it's done, then I can get more involved in this thing if you want.

ive just learned to accept the community for how it stands. its going to be this way until ut4 comes out. then there will be a fresh start in this game. its just going to be the way it is until then. people like certain modes only, so they find players in that mode and stack. its as simple as that...

great idea though, it just wont work for many reasons..

thanks wopr - that does sound like what i was hoping for.
 
i like that...it reminds me of the way they set up teams in Murderball - wheelchair basketball.
 
you can use a guy with two working arms, but he costs 3 times what a dude with no function in one limb does. the dude who steers through a straw gets added to the team for no cost.
