The semi's/finals are obviously not going to happen this weekend so we need to discuss the schedule for next weekend...

If we did it on Saturday afternoon we could do the whole thing in one shot but if we are going to do it in the evenings it might be better to spread it out on Friday and Saturday night. 

The semi's alone will eat up 2 hours minimum probably more like 3.  The finals are worse since there is potential for the losers bracket person to win the initial match up forcing a second set of matches...plus it is best of 5....so longest final scenario could be 9 maps played which comes out to 2.5 hours of gameplay so it'll be more like 3.5 hours of actual time.

Anyway my initial reaction is to have semi finals on Friday evening around 10pmET again.

Then Saturday have the finals but start a little earlier...maybe 8 or 9 ET.

Thoughts?

Friday evening sounds good to me to start up again.  Saturday I may be busy, going to Austin for the day, and don't know how late I'll get home.

There hasn't been much progress on the remaining losers bracket matches through this week.  We still need to get Sick V Phantaci and Drokun V Penguin done.  I think Sick V Phantaci may happen tonight from what I've heard...not sure about Drokun/Penguin.

Friday night is looking to be more than just semi-finals at this rate but if we get the people we need online we should still be able to get it done.  We may have to have a short session on Saturday afternoon to finish off anything that doesn't get done on Friday night.

It's going to boil down to these people:
Rico
Paw
Phan or sick
Drokun or penguin
Remy
Kali

Can everyone above either comment here or send me a PM so I know what your availability is?

Friday night around 10pm ET
Saturday 2pm ET (if necessary to finish off remaining matches)
Saturday 10PM ET - Finals

I know people have school starting etc....I've got fall projects I need to get a jump on as well...So Win/lose/forfeit this needs to be done this weekend.  I will post times for each match tomorrow based on the feedback that I get.

No prob.  Worse case is I record it without casting.  I will try to mess with streaming today/tomorrow so there will be backup if you're not there....but either way it won't be lost.

Trying hard to suppress it... but my irritation is starting to get the best of me...

It's Friday...none of the losers bracket matches that were supposed to happen during this week actually happened.  This is lame.  I find it extremely hard to believe that anyone here is soooo busy that they can't find 30 minutes to play 2 duels in 7 days...I'm sorry but that's just not gonna fly.

Tonight the losers bracket matches will be finished...I don't care if everyone gets a forfeit or I just chop the whole losers bracket out and just have paw vs rico be the final...either way this is gonna get done.


These people need to be online and in chat at approx 10pm ET:

Remy
XKaL1BuR
Drokun or Penguin (whoever wins the earlier match)
Phan
Sick

The only one that would have a reason to not be there is drokun because he's EU.  Other than that if you're not on and we get to the point where it's your turn I'll make a couple of attempts to reach you...I'll wait about 15-20 minutes and then it's off with your head and we're movin on.  I hate to have to do it this way but it appears I have no other choice.  The only way around this is if you and the person you are playing come up with another agreeable time sometime early on Saturday....but it's on you to schedule that and to let me know what is going on....if I have no message from you telling me what's happening you'll forfeit.

I had people earlier in the tourney tell me they didn't know what time they had to be there even though we've had play windows established for a long time....so let me repeat this one more time:

The people listed above need to be online and in chat at approx 10pm ET, tonight, Friday 8/28 2009.

FYI - Tonight Drokun/Penguin and Phantaci/Sick will be the first matches up so if I don't hear from you guys and you aren't on...hack hack hack.

It seems like I may have to take a forfeit win over Penguin today, unless we can stall the match a day.

Drokun I'm a little confused about what happened between you and penguin today.  If you were ready and willing and he could not then yeah unfortunately you'll have to take a forfeit win from him.  It doesn't matter to me who forfeits so either you guys agree who is bowing out or I'll flip a coin but someone is out.  So if you are proceeding.....

This is what's going on next (8/29):

Rico vs Paw - 4:30pm ET
Remy vs Phantaci - 9:30pm ET
Drokun vs Kali - As late as Drokun is willing to wait...I guessing around 5-6pm ET?

I wanted this to be done tomorrow night but we'll see how late it gets....we may only get semi finals complete tomorrow night because of how late the Phantaci/Remy matchup is.  We'll just have to take it as it comes I guess.

I can play in about 2 hours which should be like 7AM eastern?

Yesterday Penguin and I were warming up when something happened where Penguin figured he'd give me a forfeit win so that the tourney can keep moving on. I said I'd be online at that time you mentioned (10 eastern i think) but then my clock didnt wake me and I slept until 1pm.
If I still see Penguin before playing KaL1 if he's there I'll play him, if else I can play KaL1 just about as early as he wants.

GOD weed, lol... I always wanted to meet that guy.  We will actually be heading to Austin next weekend, I was mistaken.  I may just hit you up, not sure what all we plan on doing there.

Well after that match there's still about 2 more matches the winner might have to play, and I don't know if we're playing a clanmatch or anything tonight. Seeing there'd be people waiting on the livestream maybe let all other matches go first and if there's still no one there.. I don't know

Sorry guys, this storm came through and knocked out most of the city's power.  Since EARLY friday morning I've been without power, I just had it restored this morning.  I want to truly apologize for slowing down this tournament.
