internet problems

i just got a new computer but my internet is really bad. it says internet not responding but its connected to the same router that my ps3 is connected to. i just dont understand why it has no internet. And i already tried reseting the router and modem but no good. anyone have any idea. i  have windows 7 by the way.

Can your PS3 still connect to the internet?
Have you tried connecting your computer directly into your modem?

yeah i can still connect to the internet with my ps3 im going to try that next to see what happens. but the thing is that i play ps3 and my gf uses the computer at the same time.
