Sony is the idiot of the day. After over 3 years, they banned me for my user name COKKENBALLS. I guess I was in a game of MAG with a Sony Mod and he banned me. I did get Sony to let me change my screen name, but I lost my friends list. My new name is F_U_B_O. Add me if you were on my friends list previously.

Strangely, when I was just in MAG, I show up as COKKENBALLS. Wierd. The conversation with the guy from SONY was awkward. He didn't believe that it was pronounced COKEnballs or that it was a name I was given by my bowling team because I drink Jack n Coke out of a bowling-ball shaped glass. F()ckers!

Its a learning experience. Your going to screw up, that's the way it works. Any clan leader will tell you they have made some mistakes too. The trick is to keep it all internal. Keep it in your private thread if you absolutely have to post about it.

I always thought that if they were going to ban it, it would have happened inside of the first few months. Being on a SONY game is probably what exposed me. Either way, it's bullsh1t. |

I think after I get through all three factions of MAG, I am going to give C0KKENBALLS a shot. The O replaced with a 0 (zero). MAG is the only reason I even had them change my PSN. I even tried to bribe the Sony guy with a bottle of single malt scotch. He wasn't having it.

With the exception of the PS3, I stopped buying Sony a long time ago. Normally, I am not a brand loyal person, but I used to buy Sony electronics almost exclusively. That is, until their electronics went t1ts-up in terms of quality.
Sony Vaio laptop- motherboard died. Replaced with IBM thinkpad
Sony digital camera- took nice pics, when it wanted to. Replaced with Cannon SLR
Sony flat screen- Sound died at the 13 month mark. Replaced with Panasonic plasma
Sony DVD video cam- Refuses to read any media other than Sony. -Currently shopping for a new one so I can have the satisfaction of whipping this against the wall.
Sony AVR for my home theater- Blown channel. Replaced with bad ass Denon AVR
I don't know what it is with Sony. Their older products used to be great and priced competitively. I have a CD player my parents go me for Xmas in 1989. It still works flawlessly. Anything Sony has made in the last 10 years has sucked out loud. Just my .02

Yeah, I bought a Sony 50" SXRD HDTV (their version of TI's DLP) only to find out that a big greenish blob appears on screen about the time the warranty runs out. This happens with all the TVs of that model. I now own a Samsung.

No, not that model. Mine was a projection HDTV. I haven't heard about any problems with the Bravia's.

When I bought my Panasonic, I was torn between it and the Samsung. At the time, consumer reports rated the Samsung the best LCD in my price point and the Panasonic the best plasma. The Samsung is a great TV.
