nice post cokky.. hard to argue those points. again this is and should be a healthy debate among adults. if we keep that way no harm done in my eyes and from my part. I still and will continue to respect Helscream for the gaming vet he is and as a person. After all, presidential debates have some mudslinging cuz in the end they're both trying to win but in the end they shake hands. at the end of this I can shake hands with Helly and be cool as before. I expect he'll do the same.

The irony of the day is that a thread about the biggest idiots we've seen on UT3 (today) has recently became partially (probably more like mostly) about logic.. lol..

idiot of the day goes to potorikan first off for that ridiculously long response, i would probably give him idiot of the day for what he wrote in the response as well, but obviously noone is going to read all of that.
he gets idiot bonus points for responding to something that was posted to necro like it was posted to him personally.
additionally i would like to add the moderators do a sh1tfest of a job around here.
as far as necro vs helscream:
i give necro credit for his ability to argue, i think im pretty good at it i do have some arguements under my belt, including representing myself and getting a not guilty verdict against a DA that was so confident in his case that he didnt even want to talk to me about a plea. I do think Necro might be foolish tho to announce that he is going to "outcla**" someone as if he is invincible or something. but none the less i do respect him because unlike 90% of the ppl on here he isnt just full of ****.
as far as helscream, im a big fan of his posts and after skimming through the last couple of pages its obvious a few people are obssessed with this thread and i think helscreams posts have been immaculate and have proven himself the much bigger man in this situation, and if there was a war of words going on here, even though its like 4on1, id say helscream has won.
oh and the moderators are trolling pretty hard in this thread
oh and lastly about Qwest, i dont see helscream insulting qwest anywhere, you guys act as if helscream snuck onto school grounds to beat up a 13 yr old, all he did was discuss his opinion torwards religion and i guess "school" qwest on what a true christian response would of been. but none the less how you guys made that a key point of an arguement shows your arguement was lacking in the first place.
and as far as ipwn and qwest complaining about people picking on them, this is the internet, you should be happy you are being treated equally, in real life if 25+ yr olds hung out with 13 yr olds that would be really f***ing wierd, so do you want noone to hang out with you in ut3 qwest? or do you want to be treated equally and not as a little kid? and as far as ipwn i have seen the thread on this forum about treating girls as just another gamer, so you cant have it both ways

ur only being partially constructive in that post my friend. that the post is long shouldn't matter to you as ur not only not involved it doesn't even apply to you. that I commented on necro's portion as well, well that's a door Helly opened up himself by clumping all sorts of responses from dif people and executing summary judgement. I"m merely following Helly's lead. i never said you couldnt talk ****, the portion about you was mainly pointing out how damn long your response was. and i do mention your status as a moderator, as we all know or should know, moderators dont get all the privalleges of users, but seeing as how this is the unmoderated section of the forum.. my comments dont really fit the situation so i take them back.

fine but how long is too long? Helscreams post was only half as long, did I pa** some unspoken invisible character max I wasn't aware of? Should we ask Woppy to implement a cap on how long everyone's posts are so no one can whine about this in the future? sheesh. also, you fail to appreciate how much harder us mods have it. you guys get to be yourselves all the time, we have to balance the player vs the mod. believe me when I tell you if I cut loose up in this mof***a it would get pretty ugly up here and fast. more than two thirds of what's on here I don't even bother putting my two cents in unles it's to crack the occasional joke n everyone knows that so cut me some slack bro

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the conversation has broadened it's focus and has migrated to bigger and more provoking issues. In other words, Literature-wise you've been neutralized. you made ur mistake, you've seen the fallout and you've learned whatever you learned. As ur no longer the central focus of the current dialogue and ur relevancy has been eliminated, you needn't feel pressured or obligated to participate.

You're right, that guy is the idiot of the day. I'm no bank robber but, there are some fundamental items you need in order to be successful. A getaway car or even a ride waiting would be one of those.

as far as helscream, im a big fan of his posts and after skimming through the last couple of pages its obvious a few people are obssessed with this thread and i think helscreams posts have been immaculate and have proven himself the much bigger man in this situation, and if there was a war of words going on here, even though its like 4on1, id say helscream has won.
oh and the moderators are trolling pretty hard in this thread
oh and lastly about Qwest, i dont see helscream insulting qwest anywhere, you guys act as if helscream snuck onto school grounds to beat up a 13 yr old, all he did was discuss his opinion torwards religion and i guess "school" qwest on what a true christian response would of been. but none the less how you guys made that a key point of an arguement shows your arguement was lacking in the first place.
and as far as ipwn and qwest complaining about people picking on them, this is the internet, you should be happy you are being treated equally, in real life if 25+ yr olds hung out with 13 yr olds that would be really f***ing wierd, so do you want noone to hang out with you in ut3 qwest? or do you want to be treated equally and not as a little kid? and as far as ipwn i have seen the thread on this forum about treating girls as just another gamer, so you cant have it both ways |
ur only being partially constructive in that post my friend. that the post is long shouldn't matter to you as ur not only not involved it doesn't even apply to you. that I commented on necro's portion as well, well that's a door Helly opened up himself by clumping all sorts of responses from dif people and executing summary judgement. I"m merely following Helly's lead. How many times do I have to ask him to address me specifilly before I say f*** it and just to what he does just to get my point across. and wth bro everybody can talk on this b**** but I can't express my opinion? Lord knows you've said plenty on here, wdf did I lose my right to speak?

i never said you couldnt talk ****, the portion about you was mainly pointing out how damn long your response was. and i do mention your status as a moderator, as we all know or should know, moderators dont get all the privalleges of users, but seeing as how this is the unmoderated section of the forum.. my comments dont really fit the situation so i take them back.

fine but how long is too long? Helscreams post was only half as long, did I pa** some unspoken invisible character max I wasn't aware of? Should we ask Woppy to implement a cap on how long everyone's posts are so no one can whine about this in the future? sheesh.
also, you fail to appreciate how much harder us mods have it. you guys get to be yourselves all the time, we have to balance the player vs the mod. believe me when I tell you if I cut loose up in this mof***a it would get pretty ugly up here and fast. more than two thirds of what's on here I don't even bother putting my two cents in unles it's to crack the occasional joke n everyone knows that so cut me some slack bro

im not counting characters, i just know when i looked at helscreams post, i wasnt afraid to read it.. when i saw yours it looked incredibly long so i didnt give it a chance, its not that you cant write that long, its just that you arent gonna get your message across to as many people.
ive typed many long winded response in arguements before, and realized near the end "great i made a bunch of good points but i had so many good points to make this got to long and now noone is gonna read it and so i basically didnt get any points across"
as far as being a mod, i do understand its harder on you, that was my point.. being a mod you gain a responsbility and lose some privalleges, but being a mod isnt forced on anyone and as unfair as it may seem the mods are suppose to do quite a bit of biting their tongue on opinion, and more of just an impartial regulator of the rules. but like i said this an unmoderated section and i think mods should beable to act diffrently then their moderator status might prevent in an actual thread they are suppose to be moderating in.
