i forgot about seifer, he has great aim with hitscan. i also forgot to mention crow, another player with good aim.

wow otakutony got alot of mention and i dont think hes that great, good but i have no problem sniping him back once i figure out hes sniping, fairly easy actually... playin vctf the most i'd have to say arkos would be the best, especially at suspense, amazin what he can do there and he almost always goes godlike just on sniping.... some mentions tho, tx(aka Noob) bowler daMan rapid headhunter

yeah i know. they aint played in ages.. especially duzy. and i remember back when they did they were beastly. just surprised myself that no one else mentioed them. and lol yeah well that was my 1st game so i werent doing well dragov ;P lol.. but ok dragov is worth a mention for the vctf snipers... grtenny also deserves a mention

Hey Seifer IS as good as some on ur list Matt, cept I forgot he was PS3. And not everyone knows him over here. There are many who use this weapon well but it does have a wider target area on console and with previous versions of this game it was harder to hit people with. Imo I give more respect to those who use the rifle whilst being mobile than those who simply flak all the time.
Seph - Otakutony's use of the sniper really has little to do with the fact that u can snipe him back. Its his ability with the weapon in an active UT3 arena - mode is not important but hats off to anyone who an use this fiercely whilst being mobile in an 8x8 arena. And also duellers who seem to possess a better accuracy than non-duellers - no disputing just calling it as I see it.

yeah i have heard seifer is a good sniper.. but im only listing people ive played. and ive only played against seifer twice and i dont think he used the sniper that much in both those good in order to allow me to vote for him... but im sure he is very good.. and yeah the players i have listed do use snipers while mobile :) lol

a good sniper should snipe u before you snipe them.... sniping in vctf compared to being in a DM is to completely different things, i myself use the rifle alot in a DM or mobile on vctf cuz it is a good gun but has nothing to do with sniping that way, thats just a hit scan thing considering u can grab the shock and do the same thing

yeah that is true.. sniping means shooting people from a very long range. if your using a sniper in a dm. that dont mean your sniping.. my list is who has rreally good hitscan aim..

Seph I agree to o an extent but a good sniper should also possess an excellent accuracy (shots fired/shots scored) and to me b able to use it in a variety of different ways. Eg papa2dogg sniped me consistently in a game on suspense. I know he was static. He did the same in Sandstorm. The next time in Sandstorm I waited for him and when he took position and started I sniped him with a headshot. The n he did the same and I took the lift up and linked him even tho he placed spider mines on top. Then I used the fury. The guy has a good accuracy same for DaMan. But he does move around a bit however on large maps he takes position a la MW2 style.
A few days ago I crossed paths on the avril bridge in suspense with Paweezy. I was jumping down to the pad nearest my respawn and he was jumping up from it to the avril bridge ready to take boots im guessing. I realised and jumped onto the roof and turned planting my feet. At the same time he reappeared from the top of the avril bridge (above the pad) and sniped me - 1 shot, no scope, he knew where I landed instinctively. OK my health wasnt full but it was still impressive - less than 3 seconds in passing and wham! EDIT: I just saw Saltydog's comments - haha! guess this will cheer him.

yeah i hear what your sayin, not tryin to argue just a matter of opinion really but i still have to stick with my hitscan point cuz thats all it is. but ur shots fired/ to landed ratio idea is very true, i agree 100%, but when it comes to close combat, sniper is just like shock, its not sniping then, its surviving.... and i've been in that situation like u've had with paw before too, i usually spam a rocket up to the top of the avril or something but i've been owned becuz of it hahaha, sucks
