the funny part about this video is that a skinny ass Corner Back (arguablly NOT the hardest hitter in the NFL) tripled ur so called rugby "tough" guys hit power and even considering that the pads reduce the force of the hit that the dummy's body will actually take by 50%...ITS STILL MORE POWERFULL! lol heaven forbid they tested out a linebacker like Ray Lewis who would hit even harder, but who also get just as many if not more takles in a game (15-20)...so they had mercy sayn rugby players hit more cuz it aint true lol EAT IT! |

lol if u can get so SOCCER guys whod be willing to go up against some real football players for the name, then they r welcome to try but those soccer pansies would get snapped in half like toothpicks, so u might as well just admit it american football is real football |

interesting vid TX but over the course of a game it says its even..u forgot to mention that. Plus Rugby players play for the duration NOT Offense/Defense, they are not allowed to tackle in the same way as NFL players, the impact would more than likely break a rib of the rugby player if the incident was in-game but not the AF player in-game.
Personally I think AF deliver more hurt but thats bec of the way the game is allowed to be played and the way they train/condition...imo..just sayin. Me I rather football to either. Not because its easier its just faster, more skillful, exciting, more fun for me.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH THAT VIDEO IS A JOKE!!!!!
LA f***ing rugby club! OMG that is too funny. Ever seen the New Zealand, South African, French or English Rugby internationals? No offence but I've played both and American Football is quite challenging but so many breaks during the game and hardly any intensity. Rugby forwards are massive guys, take massive hits and its constantly up and down. That video is a very poor comparison, its like comparing the Steelers to an English part time team. There is no comparison at top level, New Zealand team... google it and weep. Of course, 99% of Americans believe their sport is tougher and 99% of EU guys will believe Rugby is tougher, so believe what you want... just don't believe that silly video!

Err an another thing everyone seems to have missed... in Rugby its illegal to spear player, look at the different trajectory of each player being tackled. Pretty such if a Rugby player speared through a player it would be devastating.

spearing is illegal in football too...but it still happens...ppl get over zealous sometimes haha still fun to watch tho.
@trin - its even if u compare rugby guys stats with (as they did) a guy whos position involves little tackling... LBs get just as many, if not more tackles thn rugby guy over the course of a game, hence my saying they deliver more hurt. also, ya there are alot of breaks, but i consider true football to be like it was in the 70's and earlier...those were people u nvr wanna f*** with n bk then ppl did play both ways, in the 40's up into the 50's & 60's they kinda had to. todays football has taken alot of the edge of the sport but there r still a few teams who can give u a nasty show. @dan - i dnt think it matters wat team it is lol muscle is muscle & speed is speed either way....the nfl guy they used isnt from a top tier team either, i honestly think they couldv found plenty of other nasty mofos but oh well. n haha u tread well with the Steelers |

I'd say it does matter about the muscle. A lot too.
Look at the trajectory on the tackles, totally different. One lifts which uses less force and the AF tackle goes straight through. Using the LA rugby club is a weak way to test it out, doesn't give you anything sustancial to compare it against. |
