ha, you can take all those stickers off the tv now.  Those are only there for store display sales.  And turn camera flash on FTW!!

Gaming at work on a 58"  with my coworker's PS3.  If you see WiseHybed on, it is probably me killing under his name.  If you kill him repeatedly, it is probably him playing.

A 120" projection screen I just installed for a customer.

is projection even worth playing games on? I have a friend who has a projector screen like that one but a bit smaller and I wasn't that amazed by it, but I have noticed its a growing trend. I must be missing something.

@JP - The thing about projectors is, they need to be in a pitch black/light controlled room to look the best.  Any bit of light in the room will wash out the image.  Also, you need a decent projector to really do the job well, otherwise you are just blowing up an already pixely/grainy image making it look even worse when it is on a big screen.  Also if it is too big, and you can't sit far enough away, you have to move your head around to see the whole image, which is bad.

@Brunchy - damn that's a big TV you got then.  It is a big showroom - 16 ft wide.  Those speakers are 34" tall, we sit about 8 feet from the screen.  The ceiling tiles are 2 feet wide for reference.  Those panels on the front face of the riser are 4 feet wide where you see that small gap at the far left panel (4 feet from the gap to the wall on the left)  Let me know if you really want a 1000" screen, there should be hella markup in that for me to make a pretty profit and still give you a good deal.

I used to play on a 7' 1080p projector in a blacked out room but didn't like it.  It's just too damn big for gaming.  In fact, this is what I played on for my first year in UT3.  The projector would do a crisp 12' screen with no problem.  Moved down to a 42" Sony Bravia LCD and then down again to a 32" LCD, which I find to be just the right size for me.

I have a $3,000+ Hi-Def projector for sale on the cheap.  It's just hanging there on the ceiling Ouch

that was the problem, I didn't know why I wouldn't of thought of the light problem with projector screens. I just wouldn't like the feeling of being a hermit crab when I'm watching tv or playing games in a complete dark room.

but i'm not going to knock it till I try it.

Question.

I have a decent sized garage.  Probably 15 feet wide and about 9 feet tall.  What I want to do is get a vinyl pull down scrreen, and mount a projector on the tree directly behind and use some marine speakers with some conduits and house the dvd player/blu ray player inside the garage, grab some lawn chairs, a few bug repellent tiki torches and invite some friends over when it gets dark!   Thoughts?  Possible problems?  Suggestions or ideas?  Thanks    -L.

You know I could see you doing that and put in one of your favorite porn movies "everybody does raymond".. leave the speakers on high and leave for the night.

You need a bigger screen to hide more of those wires.
