Nope. Y would you even think about using a controller on the PC version? you can get so much nastier with just a little practice with a mouse and keyboard. Give it a shot. Trust me it's worth it

When i played that free weekend of ut3 pc i used a program called xpadder.It was kind of confusing to get it working but i finally got it.JoytoKey is also a good free program.I used it when i tried to play quake live with my controller.Worked but i didnt like the game |

@ veda, practice with mouse and Kb, it will improve your game.

Pc Version of Games normally have Smaller hit boxes and thus making it really hard to kill sum1 using a controller. Stick with kb/m :)

its probably a comfort issue brah. I know i would rather a controller over a mouse and keyboard. i think that setup is poo stain.

not to me. feels like there are way to many buttons on the keyboard. plus a mouse it just feels to weird to me rather than a good ol' analog sticks.

im the opposite......i rather mouse and keyboard over a controller anyday....... Controller just dosen't feel right to me but i do use it when i need 2 :)

there is no controller option....
once the controller is set up right with your PC, go to quake live
and your cntroller will work. just make sure your PC recognizes the controller. all the info
is in that above youtube link.^^^^^
i just got done playin ql, prolly play alot more now that i dot use kbm.

what program R u useing???
i use xpadder..b4 u can use the controller you need2 open "ps3sixaxis_en"
once you do that a black screen will flash and that means it worked.
go to quake and it should work. you need to open "ps3sixaxis_en" everytime u want to use
the controller after u disconnect.

also, u need to set what actions to go along with on your controller.....
ex. for ql, you use "w,a,s,d" as your front, back, right, left....
so u config your d-pad to follow those actions. same go's for the other buttons.
config the "X" button for spacebar for the "jump action" ..."R1" as "right click" for fireing your weapon. so on and so on.. once u get it, set up is EZ

I know this has nothing to do with the ps3 controller but I found one for the Xbox for UT3. http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=586300

Moving combos are so ridiculously easy on PC version that I wonder why you'd want to use a ps3 controller.

Well it depends on what kind of moving combo a bit too, if you mean the kind where you shoot the core, go through a teleporter and finish it then yeah that's still awesome if you manage to land it

i used a program called motionjoy from motionjoy.com. I a**igned the buttons on the ps3 controller to the keyboard letters for ut. For example, move forward on the keyboard is set to W for ut pc so, I set the R3 up to W and it responded. I did this for all the ps3 buttons but still it didnt move correctly but I think this is the way you have to do it. everything else worked like fire and alt fire. Hopefully I can configure it to work correctly ill post back if successful.

why would you set "W" to "R3"??? W should be on the left joystick pointing up.
and "S" (move back) should be on the left joystick pointing down, and so on.
the right joystick should be the camra movement right???
so you should set right joystick to the corresponding mouse movements. Ex. move mouse right = move joystick right. idk, maybe i understood you wrong.
