Are you sure about hitting the node with the redeemer and having it go completely down every time immediately after being captured, or still shielded? I could swear there's been times on DT where I've hit the node seconds after capture and have it only go like 85% down in health. i could be wrong though. On another note ,it doesn't matter if the node is protected by an orb or not, EVERY time you hit it in the BASE with the redeemer its going down. This is not the case by hitting the actual top of the node ![]() |

That's why its best to coordinate the redeemer with your orb carrier..bam take out enemy and orbcarrier with the redeemer..bam you got the node. This impresses me when I see this..its rarely done and I don't understand it. I guess it has a lot to do woth trigger happy spec ops or they are being chased.

i allways hit the base of the node it does more damage n the blast radius increases! if the node is protected by the orb carrier n you hit the node directly instead of hitting the base theres a strong chance the orb carrier could survive the blast= wasted reedeemer! everytime i hit the base it takes out the node n orb carrier!

the only problem with that is if I'm the orb carrier..let's say in downtown in prime and you guide your redeemer in my face and kill me.. You won't take the node down..IF the enemy isn't attacking the node..all I need to do is stay dead until the node stops being attacked from the redeemer..spawn and ill be right back at prime..and my orb will be there. Unless we have tank node.. And don't get me started on the tank node in downtown. >:( |

yes up the bottom is best!!! Lol i always like to blow it in between these two if its not still shielded more chance of more kills and killing the orb carrier imo.
E.g on downtown destruct it in between node and just above scorpions more chance of killing people spawning near the stairs. I love to spawn kill DEAL WITH IT!!! |

always hit the base kills it instantly even if it was just captured. Also if you're lucky you can even kill the node even if it's shielded by a orb carrier, ive done that dozen of times.

Agreed. if they are nearby, I steer it toward the orb carrier, while keeping the blast within range of the node. |

If you shoot it unguided, it's easier to hit the actual node. But if it's guided, hit the base. It does more damage if it's still shielded.

In my opinion, it really shouldn't matter. The only thing I can think of is he blast radius of the redeemer. The lower you hit it, the wider the blast radius would be at ground level. However, the spec ops experts, such as Zodiac and Zellot would be the best to answer your question.

I'm just going to ask my going to ask my question straight forward. Is it better to knock down a prime with the redemer by hitting the node it self or by hitting the byron base part of the node. I hears diff things that why.
