Whats going on any DJ's on these forums? My cousin gave me his old equipment to mess around with and i set it up in my new place. This **** is real fun to mess around with, he gave me alot of vinyl as well, but he loved the 80's so not all of records are that good lol, Here are a few pics of my setup. The only thing missing is the macbook that i hooked up to it, its at work , the stand for it is in the second picture , its the two metal pieces you see above the cd mixer =o

Technics decks are the best
that Rane mixer is solid too. Proly a better Battle mixer than 1 for blending, but since youre playing 80's you wont have any extended blends, mainly quick mixes so the Rane is perfect.

Your cd players are pretty crappy.

Pioneer makes great Cd players for dj-ing. i have cdj-800s but the best are cdj 1000s.
Theyre amazing you can scratch with them and play cds like vinyl.

most Dljs these days use Serato or Final scratch to play off laptops since digital is the dominant music format. It lets you manipulate vinly too so it feels like usung decks, but with digital tracks.

Chris C is a dj and so is necro. I retired my headphones 2 years ago. used play house and Old school hip hop.
