Pinnacle Studio are the best way for novice. After using it you can try Sony Vega Pro 9. Otherwise, After Effect is the best editing video program but it's really hard to begin with AE... For starting i advise you : Sony Vega Pro 9/ Pinnacle Studio 14 HD ultimate. |

I use a HAVA Platinum HD...
I play in HD while recording in lower quality (also gives lower size files) :o Also I use Adobe Premiere Elements instead of Windows Movie Maker/Sony Vegas |

I use the Hauppauge HD PVR which is brill!
It records with HD component cables...so it records in HD but not HDMI so its one down from HDMI ... but honestly you can't see much of a difference ... ill upload something on youtube if you want to see the quality ... i already did a test one with TX2k7 spamming the Bio gun.
anyway this is the amazon link, check it out
