    Posted: 28 Nov 2010 at 1:01pm
i recently got my new laptop and attempted to install an old PC game.  however when i tried to run the game, it wouldn't work.  apparently this game isn't compatible with Windows 7.   i know that Windows 7 has an XP mode, but thats only on the Professional, and conveniently i have Home Premium.   now i looked into finding a different program to run this game of mine.  i looked into Linux and it's a bit complicated for only trying to play one game.  so anyone have any other options?
If Gravity is a "P" and the Sun is an "H", it makes a FFFFFFF.

i tried that.  tried it on XP and Vista.  i also tried to download a patch, but the instructions are very cloudy on where to place the patch in the folder.  i'm running out of options.

On my main PC i've a "dual"-boot.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits
Xp Professional
Ubuntu 10

Do a dual boot on your pc (Win 7 Home Prenium & Xp )
This is the best way for gaming/perf/style on ur pc.

For Hacking seven, download : "RemoveWat"

BTW - XP is built over Windows NT -or- old server technology.  The best "old" windows platform was Windows 2000.  Things have gone downhill ever since.

I'm in the process of leaving Windows for good after years of being in the Microsoft Developer Network.

no Draggy Win 2000 was seriously tops. I have Windows 7 64 bit but it wont let me load Quake III Arena yet I can play UT GOTY and older. Dual booting is the best option I can think of if u have enough HDD space so id luv to know what Aqua's solution was. Emulator?

Have you tried http://www.virtualbox.org/ ? I have used it before with varying degrees of success/failure, (although I use vista 64bit). Well worth a try before spending an hour or two making a dual boot system.
