I'm just saying it would have been a little more entertaining if the monkeys were flinging poo at each other. i understand its just trying to show that there learning how to use tools and "Evolution" but still.

i have watched 2001 probably ten times and the first 10 minutes of the movie is very intense. try getting high and watching the scene were the apes discovered the monolith for the first time and make sure your volume is up. terrifying. the movie is pretty hard to understand, especially the end. i bought the book after i watched it to better understand the ending. good book too. 2001 also has the coolest villain ever. another cool fact about the movie is that Stanley Kubrick collaborated with Carl Sagan when he made the film. That's were 2001 gets all it's cool futuristic props and the moon scene (the movie released one year before man walked on the moon).

Kubrick always directs good movies. A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Dr. Stranglove, The Shining, Eye's Wide Shut, Spartacus.

2001: A Space Odyssey is yet another Kubrick masterpiece.

Kubrick is my second favorite director only preceded by Martin Scorsese.

Agreed, that was a good flick. Getting to see Marisa Tomei's milk-bags didn't hurt it either.

Feel good movie of the year. I just love happy endings.

Another good one is "before the devil knows youre dead"

Phillips Sympur Hoffman Rails Marisa Tomei from behind in this. Not as romantic as
Halle Barre in Monster's Ball but still an uplifting family movie.
