So about an hour ago NASA crashed a spacecraft into the south pole of the moon, their explanation for this, is that they are looking for water. When the space craft hit the moon it was supposed to be traveling at over 5000 miles per hour and creat a big explosion that would send Lunar Dust flying 6.2 miles off the surface of the moon so that a second spacecraft could collect the data and hopefully find traces of water/ice before it plumits into the same crater 4 minutes later. But when the impact happened there was no explosion and there was no cloud of lunar dust 6.2 miles into space. Their explantion for this is that "The spacecraft may have landed in a lake, or an ice sheeet or been engulfed in gloopy mud..."
What do you guys' think about this?

If it was supposed to send dust particles 6.2 miles into the atmosphere, why didn't it send mud or water into the atmoshpere?

good point. the moon has a super low gravity so you would think that something would have shot into the air.

Exactly something about this isn't right,If something is flying at a speed of over 500 mph then crashes into something it's going to send debris everywhere

I agree. Even if there is no oxygen to support a sick Deathstar-like explosion, sh1t should have gone everywhere.
Unless. . . It flew into a swamp like on dagobah(sp?)

THats how they are trying to make it seem, like it landed in something, but there would have been a splash and ice would have been flying everywhere.

Something is fishy about this. Maybe they thought that's where Osama's been hiding all these years.
