Version: 1.1, Final Compatibility: UT3 is required, nothing else. Description: This is a CTF conversion of the stock WAR-Sinkhole map, made by Epic Games. Comments: I removed the powercores, replaced them with flagbases, and removed the powernode and replaced it with a Big Keg O Health. I added some pickups [health, weaponsfactory, armor, ammo]. I removed all vehicles for the CTF version. I also added playerstarts, so this map can take up to 48 players! Screenshot: Place all the files included in the .zip file, into your ...UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps\ folder. All tried before and failed except for the CTF-Sinkhole.
And Sinkhole would be terrible for competitive, though maybe amusing for casual. |

Did they take out the rocket turrets in Stinkhole? They should take that crap map and move it to just foot modes and keep it out of warfare, that would make me a very happy girl.

DM-Grand Diablo is amazing. It's so large 8 v 8 TDM wouldn't be a problem. Just one note: if you get scared easily, don't play it. LOL.

Also yes. Sinkhole removed all warfare and car aspects. Center node is now big keg. Core Bases are now Flag Rooms. All cars removed. Everything is the same. Maybe some extra ammo and weapon areas. |

My main issue with Grand Diablo was it's size (huge map/ file). Finding people (mainly bots.. though Mike Hunt Hurts was hosting the map, for TDM) was kind of hard at times. Then again, that one match with Mike Hunt Hurts hosting was 5 on 5, I think.. and most of my bots were around me, since I ordered them to.. because it got boring at times, so I had to hang out with my bot posse, as they tried to find someone to kill. If it wasn't for the size (40MB+? And it's a DM map?) and frequency I've seen it up (only once), I'd still have the map.
Btw.. one of my favorites (mainly offline, with the Titan mutator on) is the VDM map, Castle-12. Taking on multiple bot titans can be fun, at times. The main issue there is they have a tendency to stick around the building and ground pound a lot, (the blasted spawn-killers) until they go Behemonth and smash some more.. until either I kill them or they blow up. Btw.. I love giving them pancake kills/ suicides, every now and then.. even though I'm really the one killing them. |
