Campaign The game's campaign will feel familiar for those who played any of the Twisted Metal series. Evil man Calypso is the host of a twisted tournament that will pit you, tiered-style, against bent opponents across an array of arena maps. Single player campaign will also reintroduce in depth discovery of the games characters.
In the single-player campaign, gamers will choose to play as Mr. Grim, Dollface or Sweetooth, and that story will give you a glimpse at what made the character into the monster you'll soon know. This tale will be told by live action cutscenes. Each story will have three difficulties and each of those will have its own ending – so look for nine different single-player finales.
The newest addition to Twisted Metal is the introduction of flying vehicles. Currently, in the videos I've only seen a helicopter, but perhaps we'll see more aerial rides.
Some of the weapons in the newest Twisted Metal will feature a second character in the vehicle leaning out of the passenger side window to throw a bomb or fire a missile. Or, more impressively, they might use a massive sniper rifle to take down an opponent from afar.
Multiplayer Features in the multiplayer mode:
up to 16 players online
4 player split-screen
split-screen online
Game Modes/levels
There will be a new level called "Rooftops," which is played exclusively rooftops, and it's a nighttime level, too. Those of you who remember the New York rooftops level from Twisted Metal 2 probably know exactly what to expect.
