At least u didn't say we were lucky but deserving a victory is about perspectives. In football like with most sports u dont need to be offensive or to be in possession of the ball for the majority of the match in order to win it. Where u can be critical is in saying we adopted negative tactics ie not much ambition to attack, not much desire to control the flow of the game. Where u can give credit is in recognising that we had a game plan and a collective belief that we would triumph. We defended very well and were efficient in counter attacking. We succeeded in frustrating the opposition and never threw in the towel despite going behind in the 82nd minute, conceding a pen in extra time or going 2-0 down in the penalty shoot out. This was not Chelsea's normal style of play but if u examine why we we less inclined to adopt a positive forward strategy then u might agree that we out smarted Bayern.

• We had 4 guys suspended (including 2 of our regular defensive back line.
•  Our captain and leader John Terry wasnt playing
• nor was our player of the season - Rameires.
• 3 of our team had hamstring injuries and wouldnt have been playing under normal circumstances.
• One player was actually making his debut in the final - ive never heard of this for a UCL final so it was bold/necessary.
• We were playing Bayern on the home pitch in their home town so they had a huge advantage.
• Bayern were the best all round team in the competition (6 of them are in the german national side) and this style of play had already eliminated the best football team on the planet

Weigh all these factors up and yes we profited from Bayern's poor finishing but undeserving....? Does a team that has home advantage, earns 20 corners and has 36 attempts on goal but are successful once in 120 minutes deserve it more? Imo - nah!
