I think it'll be stupid from epic to even have rank ups or w/e. Like mw2 for you'r weapons. Its stupid. There should be better maps and more customs :) Deck le and whatever.

unfortunately with the success of the Call of Duty games we may see other FPS franchises incorporate some of the Call of Duty gameplay into their own. after all, these companies are in it to sell lots of games and make lots of money. so why invent success when you can copy it.

i think the learning curve is what makes the game fail, alot of people try the game and its too much to learn so the go back to what they know (halo, cod ect) and easy for them.  i think it would be dumb but good to get n00bs to learn the game.  like what phan said about unlocking the shock rifle would be stupid to people like us but also for the people who are dedicated to the game leveling up would be nothing.  overall tho i dont really see how they could work that into the game style.

You say the learning curve makes the game fail, i say its what makes the game. If i wanted something easier i would by COD and stick to that.

Yep the hard learning curve makes the game, and I don't give a sh1t if the community isn't as big as cod, if the game takes skill and keeps many noobs away. Ok by now, UT3 is pretty much dead but when it was active there were easily enough players.

What I would like to see with UT4.
First,  this game will be coming out for the next generation of consoles.  And I would like to see the PS4 support PC gaming headsets without having to purchase a third, like an astro mixamp.  And Sony make it mandatory to support K/B and mouse for all FPS games.
What I would like to see in UT4
1.  Better support with custom maps
2.  Duel mode should automatically remove special power ups; i.e.  U-damage, beserker, redeemer, etc...
3.  More Duel maps right out of the box:  Come on EPIC, UT3 has 5 duel maps.
4.  Practice mode -
     a.  This mode would allow the player enter a map and practice jumps, timing weapons and pickups etc...
     b.  Add pop-up targets to practice aerial accuracy
     c.  Add God-like bot with no weapons to practice moving targets.
5.  Jumping physics to go back to UT2004 and double wall jumps.

What I do not want to see
1.  Ranking system - gay
2.  Putting UT4 out and forget about it like UT3
