Fn A has 3 active people, that's less than 9 lol.
Why would you recruit just for a silly tourney :S Isn't it a good oppertunity to train your players against other teams who aren't used to the modes yet? |

Let me explain it more. You should have at least some people that know multiple modes. For example tRi is a CTF clan and Go_Dead and Xerxes play WAR the most in tRi. So when we have a clan match in WAR, they coordinate everything. I don't know much about WAR so when they tell me things I pay attention and pick up on new strategies etc. So our chemistry as a team improves while being able to expand to other modes.

Remy has the right idea. I think clans should have 5 members, anymore and its just stupid in my opinion.

I prefer small clans, when we started out, it was a few cool people that we all knew each other, we all fit in, there was no new guy who felt awkward cuz he didnt know anyone! A few of us had an almost twin brother like connection, we all knew what was going on and how to respond accordingly, and countless night of 4,5,sometimes 6 hours of practice! I remember one night with Ghost,Neo, Harm, and myself playin together for almost 8 hours one night, getting our lines and our jobs down, and figuring who did what better! I miss thoes day *sniffle

Fn A may be the exception idk but I thought they came from 360? There aren't many clans on 360, cant think of any that ive seen in all modes but i dont play CTF often. TRU existed before league right Lunchy. And those guys weren't you all in tWc or summit. You used to host market district and other small WF games cos i played in them.
Another point is i'm guessing with small clans (not tRi) youre in similar time zones or on the same continent at least. Small clans can only exist under these conditions. I'm down with what Black_Star and Remy said and we have started to play in other modes as a unit. We did WF with iAM last night - stopped after that cos it was 0300 for me when they wanted to play vCTF. I still say small clans = more divisive = more disruption when arranging matches (1 or 2 down then match doesnt go ahead) = less participation of organised groups. Also super-sized clans = less competition = less participation.

Yup, TRU has been around for almost a year! Cokk an me are the only two who were in tWc, i started tWc like 2 months after its release, we had around 10 members @ the time and, have to say the nastiest WF line up! Then i lost internet for 6 weeks, every one in tWc formed BAK, a month later i re organized tWc, a few months later had personal issues an handed tWc over to envy, upon my return to ut3, tWc was prostituted into 2 sects with more than 20 people! and yea, if i host, its usually small maps, preferably with little to no vehicles!

One important factor is availability, and the standards set by clan leaders. If clan members aren't consistently available, and this is allowed, more clan members are necessary. That's what it boils down to for me. People can learn other modes and people can improve. If they aren't around, you need back-ups like Mommy's clan has.

Yep you both nailed it right there... I gotta admit that in past times I was totally addicted to the game. Looking back it was fairly sad! Play for fun and play with people you enjoy playing with, I guess if you follow those lines you could have a clan of anywhere between 3-30 members! On a personal note the perfect clan for me would be 5-6 people in the same timezone who regularly play together. Of course its likely that this would only exist in a perfect world because not everyone can commit as much time to the game. Realistically 10-12 members is good but people bought the game themselves with their own money, if they want a clan with 40 members then who are we to judge? |
