While we do have players that will play WF like myself, killer, inferno, cath and such, I'm looking for dedicated WF players (i.e WF players that prefer WF than any other mode). Same as I am for VCTF I need players that live and breathe WF and can go forward as a self-governing squad. So far I have PcX_On3rve. very funny. while it's good that you don't mind playing other modes I'm trying to build a squad of dedicated WF players. That's no easy task tbh. it'll take time just be patient. I've revised the roster to reflect those that are barely or semi active. going forward I'll be revising it again to ensure only regularly active members appear in the main roster. It doesnt' seem fair to kick someone out of the group because they have other priorities etc. besides, with more cross training we might just grow some of these 1-moders to something more than just fragging lol. not exactly. it's no so much specialists as I"M looking for so much people that love to play the mode and like to play it regularly on their own (much like me in vctf). I don't have to be convinced to go play vctf I love the mode and it's their you'll fine me most often. it's not that most of us disapprove of playing other game modes it's more that we don;t play them in scrims because we're not that hot at them. Myself for example. I like TDM, CTF, Duel and WF BUT that doesn't make me scrim material for them. I can play them but it'd be like having a t@rd on the team therefore I don't play. As for VCTF... we don't even want to go there, I find VCTF very difficult to get into. I know what you are saying. I feel the same way at times being pretty much still a n00b in most modes. I started off playing DM and TDM because I was familiar with that mode from other games and felt like I would hold back a team playing other modes. The last thing I wanted to hear was "Hey! Where the hell are you going with that orb?!?!" lol. But after playing a bit and watching Triphop play I've come to like WF a whole lot more and think I can hold my own pretty well . So, don't sell yourself short. You are probably better than you think at these other modes. Now VCTF on the other hand..yeah. I'm with you. I'll play it when I have to but really just can't get into it. BTW, if you wanna play ckc in some unofficial scrims we'd be more than happy to as we are training some of our newer players on WF as well. -------------   |

I think a a cross training session with the above would be very beneficial for all. This works for us. Not sure what times work best for you guys? During the week evenings are best..like after about 8 PST. Saturday and Sunday afternoons work well too. If you want, add myself and ckc_triphop to your psn and we can get something setup. I think we'd usually be able to get about 5 ppl or so rounded up. ------------- |

that sounds good. Can you follow up with Cathy as she has more accessibility to the players and our server (plus my two ps3's are currently out of commmision :( what would be immensely helpful is if you place two of your most senior WF players on ech team and fill the rest up with PcX so that both CKC and PcX are mixed on both sides. that way they can play along and against eachother under the tutelage of the more experienced WF player (not sure if that makes sense). I think that would be a good way to get peeps up to speed, especially if you focus on just one map at a time for the entire session. Start at first with easy maps like MD and then move on to stuff like DT and AV after. I think ckc is mentioning that they also don't have a WF lineup and would like to scrimage you guys for fun so everyone learns.
However, my offer of conducting a full walk-through of each map and general strategies to warfare still stands. I will have a few KmA ready for Q/A and walk-throughs. Please make sure your players have All-Over-DM to make sure all 16 players can talk to each other. Also, I think it would be best to have your scrim against ckc first so you guys can gather some questions about strategy, map layout, orb routes, etc. Hit me up to discuss. There aren't many true warfare teams out there and if us helping you guys out gaurentees another warfare squad, we are all for it.
Once the walkthrough is complete, if you want, we can have a vctf, wf, ctf, tdm match vs PcX. Let me know.

ok I'll speak to everyone about this. A few of the guys already have this on as I was going to try this for CTF training aaages ago. I have issues with All Over DM. I have tried to install it on my system several times and it has f*cked up my game each time making it unplayable (as in won't load any game mode, not even IA) until the mod is taken off during which time it crashes my system. U got some good WF players now and there's still games played, well better than b4 xmas when it was vacant 24/7. I hear TRU have moved on to BFBC2 well tbh its not as good as UT (what is eh?) but i've only played it for 90 mins so far. Even from this I can tell its a very good game esp if u like warfare. Remember the first time u threw a copy of UT3 into the tray and creamed in ur sistas panties? Ever want to re[eat that experience then rent the game and try it out. yea it happens in most modes but it is noticeable that often u join a match and ur with noobs against an all star line up it seems and this isn't pure chance. if enough of community r on and want good games then switch things up a little. That way games r more competitive, i'm always willing but i'm no match winner or game changer. It becomes tiresome when others can't see the obvious. I know no one has the right to tell some1 else how to play the game in pubs and I realise not everyone simply thinks comp = fun = gg a lot think winning (at any cost) = fun = gg. yeah thats very true. if one team camps in warfare for te game then they aint gonna win... the whole team needs to work together.. however in vctf... one team can camp and have one flag runner and still win (which is annoying) but can be done.. but hey im not taling crap about the mode cos im also a vctf plauer and i love it :D.. but warfare is a more team orientated mode. which is why warfare is my fave mode lol ------------- |

i think sinkholes is the only map that you can camp some where and shoot rockets and link guns at everyone. i.e. there was one guy just shooting rocket through the holes that are at the center node in sinkhole, killing everyone as we pass through our door ------------- |

more people in warfare the better.. you have to defend the nodes in warfare. you cant expect a team to just let u walk in and capture the node..its different to both ctf and vctf.. cos if someone takes the flag u still have alot of time to get the flag back and stop them from scoring.. but in warfare.. u cant let them orb carrier touch the node. cos u lose it and it can straight away be game breaking. so nodes have to be defended heavier than the flags are in ctf and vctf... thats why it requires more strategy to take the opponants node... ------------- |

yeah i also forgot to say that it really does matter whose playing. obviously if your playing noobs that dont know what they are doing then its obviously going to be an unorganized game.. but as tx said. ive had plenty of overtime games in 8v8 pubs.. if u were here at the times warfare was most active... (over a year ago now lol).. you wouldnt be saying these comments tbh... the only reason why i could think the number of players would matter is the size f the maps.. such as an 8v8 sinkhole is stupid lol. but seriously. if u have a 8v8 with all the people who know how to play warfare. you wont se the node camped out since theres quite a few roles that needs taken up. such as orb carrier, defenders,attackers, spec ops and heavy vehicle user etc... also as tx said im not trying to downgrade your idea of 5v5 or 2v2.. cos believe me ive had some good games of 5v5 since thats usually how clan matches are planned out. and i also remember thr only 2v2 ive had... me and danjel vs ace and migz. that was a hell of a game too.. but good 8v8 warfare aint what u think it is.. and hey. im glad your playing the mode... the more people the better. hopefully warfare will get more active ------------- |
