That teaser featured the above graphic and the tagline "It's Unreal. And it's almost here." That narrows it down to about 75% of the company's product line, meaning it could be related to Epic Games' http://kotaku.com/tag/unrealengine/ - Unreal Engine , the Unreal franchise or the http://kotaku.com/tag/unrealtournament/ - Unreal Tournament franchise. Or it could be a new Unreal product altogether. Or Epic Games is screwing with us. What we're relatively certain it's not, is a proper Unreal Engine 4, as Epic prez Mike Capps said that next-gen engine is still years away at this year's Tokyo Game Show." someone already made a thread like this , the rumour going around is that a version of unreal engine 3 will be available for consumer purchase. so in retrospect you could create your own unreal , or new weapons and levels, if the rumour is true ofcourse -------------  |

i remember watching a video of 1 of the devs having a interview and they said there won't be a other Unreal Tournament for a couple of years as they rather concentrate on there other titles like Gears of war etc. on UT3 PC you have the same tools they used to make the game.......so we can make our own levels Weapons vehicles and characters so its a no biggie if we have to wait 5 odd years for UT4 cause we can make loads of cool stuff for UT3 and change it so much its lyk a new game :D im gona make a Video of what UT3 PC looks like on my machine and the Custom servers i go into are lyk and you will be blown away how diffrent it is from UT3 PS3......... -------------

I'd personally like to see it be either a new Unreal (even if it's sans Tournament or another Championship) or a customer version of the engine. It'd be cool if someone could make this totally custom version and.. Actually, how it would be possible for people to play it? I mean, I'd love to see a user-made version of the game, where the mods are standard and much easier to get than in UT3, but still. Oh, and by easier, I mean the mod browser isn't at stagnant 21. It would keep growing, as more and more people upload maps to it, similar to TimeSplitters' mapmaker system. In other words, I'd like to see something where the people upload the maps, not Epic. Sure, there weren't loads more people playing mapmaker maps in TS: FP, but at least there would be less of an excuse to not be playing them. Then again.. in TS, you could play on the maps made in the mapmaker, regardless of whether you had them or not. The only person who had to have them was the host, but I'd still like to at least see something like TS: FP's Mapmaker whatever they called it. (I forgot.) ------------- |

yes i heard that they were benching it but i also heard they are working on something related to the unreal universe, but it would be a campaign game not online :S -------------

UT3 was my first FPS , but im pretty sure that they wait for a new engine to be developed before creating a new tournament, but id like to stay optimistic , also thanks to all who bought servers , without you id only have titan LOL ------------- One weapon, two maybe three ways to fire, go for the monster or go home |

colly is right. nothing other than this has been said by epic in the past. the next iteration will be for the next gen consoles and utilitze the next engine release. what we should do is compile all the things we hope to see in it. Keep dreaming, UT4 won't be out until after the next generation of consoles is out, probably when the Competitive scene is fairly popular again on the pc.

Yeah its done been said the next UT will hit the next gen consoles which has a time around 2012. No new UT till then.
