Many will of already known about this stuff already but if not i'm posting the information thats been released so far for anyone who doesnt know about the 5 maps that will be in the new Stimulus Downloadable Package -
Its first expansion pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would arrive for X-Box 360 users later this month, developer Infinity Ward has now revealed that the add-on will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points (roughly £10), free for PS3 users (release date 29/30th April).
Speaking to Microsoft's Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hyrb, Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling announced the asking price during a podcast and went on to reveal the contents of the downloadable content.
Dubbed the Stimulus Package, Modern Warfare 2's first expansion will feature five additional maps - three of which are entirely new, and two of which (Crash & Overgrown) are ported from the first Modern Warfare title Call of Duty 4.
Infinity Ward's new maps are described briefly as follows:
- Bailout: a multi-level apartment complex
- Storm: an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
- Salvage: a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars
Meanwhile, the two maps ported from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare are Crash and Overgrown. Both maps are said to be "reworked" with improved graphics, but feature no geographic changes.
Contrary to recent speculation, there is currently no indication of new weapons or perks being added to the game, but Infinity Ward is expected to shuffle the online multiplayer game modes, with Bowling hinting at an increase in Hardcore playlists.
"Bailout - It is said to be a "multi-layered apartment complex." Not much is known about this map, more will be found out on March 18th, but so far the environment seems to suggest this map takes place somewhere in America. It resembles the residential area in Exodus, and also vaguely resembles the style of the map Bloc from Call of Duty 4.
Storm - It is described as "an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery." Like its name says, outside of the warehouse is a heavy storm. It seems that the level is mainly set indoors. Storm looks slightly like the maps Killhouse and Vacant from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Not much else is currently known.
Salvage - It is described as a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. It looks to be based on the same section of the singleplayer level Contingency that was used for the special Ops level Sniper Fi. The map was originally to be known as Compact.
Overgrown - It is a wide, open map with plenty of vegetation and cover spots. The map has three distinct sections: a farm located on the northern half of the map containing a large barn and two fields that provide cover and concealment. A curved street lined with buildings on the southern half of the map, and running horizontally through the middle of the map is a river bed with two bridges on the east and western sides of the map crossing over it. Just north of the river bed in the middle of the map is a two-story farm house that is accessible from the all the sections of the map.

Crash - The map is relatively small when compared to other maps, but still plays host to intense battles. C4 & Claymore's are useful due to the many blind corners, stairs, and ladders found in the area. Snipers can take advantage of the many windows, dark corners, and high buildings for sniping distant enemies. Assault rifle wielders may find that stealthy movement up the middle will work best, provided they stay out of the cross-hairs of snipers. Air Strikes are not as effective on this map, due to the ability of the enemy to hide easily amongst the buildings; likewise for the Helicoptor.

Side note i heard Overgrown was meant to be a very good S&D map/TDM when was on Call of Duty 4 from my mate, this is due to the large, open space, firefights will usually occur at bottleneck points. This especially true of the central area, where players will usually fight for control of it. Other bottleneck points include the stone and wooden bridges that cross the river bed on the west and east respectively. Sniping is generally encouraged (Headhunter :p) Because of the woodland setting and wide, open ground.
Hopefully thats got everyone fired up for the Downloadable Stimulus Content Package, some of those maps look very nice imo.
------------- Will update my sig when something worth while deserves to be here.
