well i have been playing ut3 for quite a bit and i have seen many people jump left to right trying to dodge their opponent.. but i know there are many other methods of dodging (plenty of which i do not know) so here is a list of dodging methods i see people do while i am dueling, playing death match, etc. 1. side jumping left to right repeatedly 2. moving left to right repeatedly 3. moving left to right then side jumping in a random direction 4. moving left and right while double jumping 5. jumping in place to confuse your opponent for a side jump 6. diagonal jumping 7. hide behind a wall just to wall jump from around the corner 8. jump once/twice then wall jump 9. run in one direction. 10. jumping while running backwards 11. none of the above post a number for which method of dodging you do, or post a number that you think is most useful. thanks and keep playing =D. I just walk in a straight line  jkI almost constantly strafe side to side, and I do a lot of wall jumps. And like Drokun said, it can change depending on my enemy. ------------- Dear CTF, I know I have been spending a lot of time dueling lately, but you will always be my first love. |

Dodging is used for moving around the map quickly as well. Also depending on your opponent u will need to change up ur dodging style. Dodging is a mind game so if ur easily predictable then u will not survive long

yeah its better to not actually have a particular jumping pattern, just be diferent alll he time, stafe, jump, different directions in each face off to be as unpredictable as possible basically ------------- |

Personally its all about who you play, i usually seem to get the player to go where i want, if i have flak cannon, alt fire is amazingly good for this, if you two are doing a left and right dance with each other, rocket is the same, but i figure out their pattern very fast and jump right before they land, and lead two rockets at their feet! Now shock rifle, im not giving out that secret cuz it works soo damn good! ;)

Haha it annoys the hell outta me. Then i try & be slick and use the flak cannon & what happens to me, I run into ppl like help_qcp & my contract is cancelled. There are some who are absolutely nasty with the that weapon but there's some who just run wild acting a clown with it. ------------- |

Flak whores? Tell me about it. However, I can't say I'm much better. Imma Link Gun whore, a good portion of the time. I do sometimes whore the flak cannon in the vehicle modes though, but when it comes to the foot modes, I love my Link Gun, Shock Primary, and Sniper. As for dodging.. well.. I'm trying to reinvent that.. sort of.. I'm having growing pains atm, but I generally used jump around like a maniac.. and usually jump straight into rockets, but I'm working on getting back to into strafing, something I used to do before I learned how to wall dodge and whatever. (Back in my early days of UT3, I didn't even jump that much and when I did, I was doing to pretend that it made me a harder to hit person.) ------------- |

Seriously, complaining about being shot at makes about as much sense as complaining about the route someone takes with the flag. I understand how it can be annoying. It annoys me sometimes when I get in a Viper and I'm all set to splatter TX2KY all over Necropolis. Before I can do anything, he fills me with flak and spreads my guts all over the place. On the other hand, it's creative use of the weapons, not unlike the flag carriers that I can never seem to kill. Using Necropolis as an example again, when guys like TwoFase grab the flag, they usually have jump boots and they take these obscure, hard to reach routes back to their flag point. They are using the terrain to their advantage. In short, what I am saying is that it is creative use of the weapons. I bounce flak off of walls all the time.
Frankly, spamming across the map is one of the only ways hacks like me can get kills on elite players sometimes.
I'll make a deal with you. Start sucking and I'll stop spamming. Cool? Thanks bro! -------------

I don't know about all those points but I will say this.. sometimes a flak comes in handy to knock a flag carrier off his board especially in a place like necropolis and those precious few seconds make all the dif sometimes.
