Well, heres the deal, i want to get a new HD and a SATA-USB2.0 cable.  Can i take the new harddrive and connect it witth the SATA-USB to my ps3 via USB, and copy all my info to the new HD and then swap out the old HD with the new HD and be good?  Thanks in advance.  -L.

im pretty sure you can but before anything take out ur old hard drive and put in the new cause the ps3 will need to format it  then take the new one out put on the SATA-USB and do exactly what u said this.... or depending on your harddrive size you can get a smallish one back everything up on that one (usin the ps3s backup option)  put the new hard drive in (wait till it formats) then recover the back up

well are you using all 190gb if so youporn doesnt take up too much space aha j.k but a external HDD would suffice for backups $100 for 500gb or close to it so not too bad

So did you get it to work Lunch? I'm going to eventually need to get a new HD myself so im curious if it turned out good for you. My 60GB HD is not nearly enough to hold saved data and my psn purchased games, n im usually deleting things just to dwld and try demos. So let me know, thanks.
