Raging Bull is the best movie i have ever seen..... Its mainly a drama i guess, but filled with hilarious moments and an amazing performance by Robert De Niro. First of all, I recommended Demon_On_Slaught not to see Avatar: The Last Airbender because it was a waste of time. M. Night Shyamalan ruined this franchise! None of those 6 episodes which Shyamalan picked from Book 1 didn't translate in the movie. A completely disgrace movie. Second, why would list lames movies? Did Bumrush ask the community to help him find good movies. Even Bumrush gave me some props from my post. All the movies I named were great whether you like them or not. Third, did you read Bumrush thread thoroughly!? He said, "List action, comedy and horror movies please." 8 1/2 is not in either those genres. |

Yep, it was yet another (cartoon/ anime/ video game) gem Hollywood inexplicably ****ted on. There's some things Hollywood just shouldn't be allowed to (try to) make into a movie. Maybe, I should throw remakes in there to, since a fair share of those have sucked. Anyhow, I wouldn't all too be surprised if the Smurfs (in 2011) movie fails harder than Avatar and DBZ Evo did.
I'm not going to bother looking through the posts, but could this include Twister and Independence Day? Edit: Maybe, there should be a thread for franchises (anything in general) everyone thinks Hollywood inexplicably ruined. ------------- |

yeah i've heard his movies are kinda hard to watch.. Deep Red is good, but i haven't seen it in seriously like 5 years so my opinion will most likely change once i decide to watch it again. even though the stabbing was kinda cheesy that scene was still visually awesome. deep red was like that too..
i think one of the most beautiful movies i've seen so far is Satyricon by Frederico Fellini and Ran by Akira Kurosawa. i'm still a movie noob though when it comes to great film XD

Inception was amazing. Really wish i could see it again. >.< Not so much the story was amazing (Tho it was) But how it tells the story and for such a confusing plot, pulls it off as best it can. Blade Runner
Alien
Gladiator
Black Hawk Down
Everything else is pretty sub par IMO especially Legend and Robin Hood. KoH didnt do much for me.
Blade Runner is one of my all time top 5. It was the first Blu Ray movie I bought when I got my Ps3.

i honestly did not like Gladiator. i dunno why, just really boring imo. Black Hawk Down was really good tho. Never seen Blade Runner but i know it is supposed to be awesome! (LOL @ iROBOT... i didnt think black hawk down and gladiator were that good at all. i own bladerunner so i know how good it is but im surprised you thought legend was bad. i bought the directors cut bout a year ago and loved it. the first 30 minutes are beautiful. riddley scott is alright but there are way better directors ------------- The sun was high and so was I - Best Coast psn: HardhatTuna XBL: Tuna is QnL |

When I was a kid I loved Legend, I bought it in Blu Ray and watched it again and I thought it was pretty weak in totality as a movie.
I agree there are some breathtaking scenes in the begining and the movie was so full of potential but ultimately failed for me.
Gladiator was entertaining, not his best Movie but everytime its on I seem to watch it and enjoy it.
I have a soft spot for Movies about that era too. I agree not his best, but certainly better than KoH.
If you havn't seen Blade Runner, it's a must ... get it in Blu Ray and watch it on a nice TV w Sound System. The score by Tangerine Dream is mesmerizing.
