for those that dont know.. and might care.. quakelive is going officially live today.. no more beta.
a new mode is being added - freezetag, and a bunch of other things.
most betas are free.. and then the final product cost money.. quakelive will still be free for the core service but you can ugprade to plus or pro accounts for added benefits like having your own personal server. considering alot of people in ut3 pay 30 bucks a month for a server i see it as a good deal. you can get the pro account for 5 bucks a month.. all the extra goodies and a server at your command. cmon people get with the program and start playing quakelive!! -------------

everything but freezetag, private servers, and whatever new maps they release from this point on.
theirs currently a decent amount of maps availble though so id say if you dont care about freezetag or private servers.. almost 100% of the game is availble -------------

no idea how their payment plans are going to work, might be yearly and not monthly.. which would mean you gotta fork down 30 i think for plus, and 50 or 60 for pro.. either way im signing up for pro asap -------------

Well i played CTF and on some open map was just practicing and i could not do it. its kind of hard to explain.. its more a natrual thing for me at this point.. a good way to practice as opposed to the training levels is in ctf levels.. just join an empty server and try and get your flag runs down quickly.. on ctf8 i can do a 13 sec cap which is very fast.. on ctf7 im @ like 9 seconds -------------

thats a decent mouse.. i prefer optical mice over laser mice.. smoother turns..
may i suggest a proven mouse for half the price? (more professionals use it then any other mouse)

that link you left didnt work for me.. the Mouse is called the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 , im not sure you will beable to find it in walmart or bestbuy but its a possibility
it is on walmart.com..
if you dont have a credit card and want to pick it up in store what you could do is go buy a walmart giftcard for 35$, order it online using the gift card and select ship-to-store, and in a few days you will get an email and you can go down and pick it up at the store -------------

The one on BestBuy is IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 Optical Mouse and I've yet to check Wal-Mart.. Well got Pro subscription, and my bro gave me his old gaming mouse that was like 99.99 but it's a little old so when I move around the cursor sometimes doesn't go fast enough to how fast I'm moving my mouse.. We'll see how it is when I play QL though

nyone else get this weird error when they try n download the update:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 201326592 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 76 bytes) in /var/www/quakelive/libs/session.php on line 257
ive checked and definatly have enough hard drive space (according to dro n reeks, lol) - anyone know whats wrong? -------------

I would also suggest the DeathAdder from razer... the most comfortable mouse i've used yet !!! The mouse I was using before was the g500 from logitech. The DeathAdder is optical mouse also but it is not exactly the same technology as the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. If you do some research the DeathAdder is also a lot used by players and is way more comfortable than the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. But hey it's a personnal choice. I've bought mine at Future Shop... one was displayed and I could put my hand on it and I knew it was a really comfortable mouse !! :D Well my 2 cents :) |

Added 'gamepad' configuration control section & basic Microsoft XBOX 360 Controller support.

i've been playing QL some lately and about 3 weeks ago at around 11 p.m. central i watched Vo0 duel some other big player in either a chicago server or ATL server.. it was so bad ass
