So you really want to throw me out there like that. Just remember I played Reborn once and beat your time and Dark Horse maybe 5x and beat yours on that one. So at total i played maybe 20 mins so far. Do I really need to invest more time in this? Better question do you want me to beat your score times again? I'll wait........... Nope didn't think so. Damn.. I just got this game last night (the download took forever for me) and my best time in Dark Horse so far is 1:57.93 I'll have to get online later to do it again, but oh well. I might shift over to the darkside when I get this game and by that, I mean the good ol' boys in blue. Deploying spike strips right in front of racers is awfully cheap, but funny as hell. Due to how easy it is on the AI, I can understand why they're not a one hit take down, unlike Most Wanted and the other NFS games with police. Edit: Damn.. it looks like I got a long way to go, despite this past run, where I got the Hot Pursuit equivalent of a Multi-kill (two back to back spike strip take downs, followed by one final ram to the leader) and got 1:32.6 I used the easier car though. I bet you three probably used the Crown Vic. Anyways, Imma just gonna get off my secret alt and back on to my main account, since my alt has no friends, so I can't play the racer one. |

Officially (on my main profile) and posted on the Autolog thing, I'm at 1:30.something for Dark Horse, with the Z and 1:39.something with the Crown Vic. I have a time of 2:38.59 or something like that for Racing Reborn, with the Porsche. The Z didn't seem as good in that mode and I was close to time with the BMW. Yay, short cuts.. as long as I can actually hit them and not screw up on them. Also, I just realized I took most of the people off my friends list a little while ago. Re-add me or I'll re-add you, if you need proof of my times. I'd say the actual time for the cop one, but I don't feel starting up the game, just to tell you the score. If I did, I might even be tempted to try and shave more time off. You pretty much have to get back to back, to back takedowns, plus stop the last guy within 10-20 seconds to get a good time imo. I nearly had a time below 1:20. I wish slamming them in the front fender counted as damage, because if it did, I would of been close to Ether's time. He was freakin' in the red, but instead, I lost control and it took me another twenty or so seconds to finish it, after calling in Roadblock #3. |

Sure was. Trying different things and hitting different short-cuts (to see if they're worth taking) is fun to. Now, if I could just avoid the wall all, but once in Racing Reborn track, I'd get to 3:30. So far, my best is 3:34.77, with a nice 1:04.83 on Dark Horse.
Can you beat the likes of Ether and possibly me (I might go cop.) in Dark Horse? If you can't beat us at your own game.. Once I get this game, I'll experiment further with the shortcuts with other power-ups. You know, doing random stuff sometimes can really help. |

I knocked the blue guy out on the shortcut, then 3rd place a little past the bridge, and the rest fell into place. I already had damage on the 2nd place guy, but yeah, it was kind of luck that I took him and the third place guy just as I cleared the hairpin turn, then actually managed to seal the deal on the 1st place racer. If I hadn't blown by the first place guy at the roadblock on another attempt, it might of been just under a minute. I once took out three of them (on one run), back to back, to back. Multi-kill! Anyhow, judging by how my luck has gone, I wouldn't be all too surprised if someone's gotten as low as 45 seconds. I still can't catch Ether in the race times, but I figure I can at least get 3:30, granted I'm almost perfect and avoid the walls most of the race, which I can't seem to do. Even so, unless Skiller or Ether is going to be cops, I got a good feeling about being a Racer. |

but there is a certain amount of skill required to have that luck! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apparently all the interceptors can be done in under 30 seconds. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ... the hardest race for me so far is the Sea Crest one that's 43 or so miles long... I do well up until the last two miles, by which time my car is nearly always critical and I end up tapping a wall and knocking myself out! I hate this race LOL... ------------- |

yes, that's the race, and I do use the Bugatti... I'm trying to beat 13:30:xx which is the record time that one of my PSN friends has. So far I cannot even get close, let alone complete the damn race :D ... I prefer the shorter races <3mins.

I finally platinum'd this today (with the exception of the add-on races). I got that 44miles race out of the way on my 10th attempt! (yes I spent over 2 hours on one race lol). If you get out ahead of 1st as soon as poss, and then just stick to the sides, boosting when possible, you can get the finish about 40 seconds ahead of 2nd place. (I didn't even use the fastest car either, and completed it in about 14mins:30secs) I then started playing online... I swear the cars go a lot faster than they do during normal game play, especially the Bugatti range. The interceptors online are heavily biased towards the racer. And the damage is at best a joke! LOL... I had great fun rampaging (10-0) this Spanish guy today, after 5 timeouts (me escaping off into the distance), because he obviously didn't know the maps well, I resorted to smashing the hell out of him each time (cop or racer regardless) which was actually really fun, more so than racing. Now I just have to work on my getting some better race times ;) ------------- |
