Here is my modified PS3 to run cooler temperatures after its YLOD for the 4th time. Im currently on my 5th reflow and decided to change something this time around. The PS3 does in fact run alot cooler this way, the power supply barely gets warm and the back of the PS3 barely puts out any heat compared to before. The other known case of YLOD is a bad power supply that is not fixable with a reflow. A reflow is a temporary fix long enough to get a few weeks to months use out of it. Usually pepople just want to get there saved data off or game out of their console. If you are needing help or have a YLOD id be glad to help you out. LOL, nice vid. You should paint the styrofoam black since dark colors absorb heat. you might get it even cooler. ------------- |

Lmao thanks guys. Yeah thats why i electric taped it Bain so it look decent and the whole heat factor. Im impressed by how cool it actually runs under the ps3. yeah, i should edit mine too. actually dark colors absorb light, not heat. so it probably won't make a difference. ------------- |

Bain, lol i know everyones coming up with these special YLOD kits to fix em, why not do this, lol Sephiroth, all possibilities have been considered, it crossed my mind once or twice and if i had one i definately would be trying it, lmao. Everyone thought i was crazy when i said i use icepacks, lol but it makes logic sense to put it right below the induction fan to suck all that cold air in. ------------- Currently playing MAG nightly with Wopr, we be owning on SVER n the EF CLAN. I dont understand your question??? Did u watch my video? All my plastic is off besides the back strip which wont change anything. Mine is stripped down as little as it can go.
