For anyone who ever played Tribes 2 you already know this game will be awesome. Tribes is open environment gameplay with fast as hell movement + jetpacks. Tribes is an extremely skill based FPS so if you are sick of lame CoD and all its clones give this a try. It should be out later this month and it will be free to play.

I was actually going to make a thread for this but since there is no confirmation on whether or not they are gona have a console veesion of the game I decided not too. But I played the hell out of Tribes: AA on ps2 so I can vouch for trendy on this one. Tribes is often thrown into the same group of games like UT and Quake because the skill gap is so high and rockets+jetpacks make for some amazing frags! Try lookin up a tribes:vengeance frag vid on youtube and you'll see what I mean.

yep a lot of multiplayer PC games are free play. Ive been waiting to play this too, fancied star wars and ghost recon supposed to be launched too soon. I got tribes on PC cos it looked like UT but never played it back then bec UT and Half Life was all I wanted. I'll defo give it a try tho. tnx

Apparently they are still planning on releasing it for 360 and PS3, it will just come out on PC much sooner. I dont really know how well this game would translate to console though. As far as fragging goes, i would say Tribes is the hardest game to kill someone and thats with m/kb. I imagine console would be just a contest of who can run the flag the quickest, i could be wrong though.
